Job summary

Career Makers is recruiting an experienced Home Manager to lead a 65-bed nursing and residential care home in Liverpool. This single-storey site provides high‑quality, person‑centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

You will drive regulatory compliance with CQC standards, lead a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets and occupancy, and build strong relationships with residents, relatives and professionals to promote the home’s reputation locally.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Registered Home Manager in nursing or residential care.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
• Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and occupancy.

• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care in line with CQC standards and best practice.

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Bonus. Full Time | Permanent.

Are you an experienced Home Manager looking for your next leadership challenge? We are seeking a passionate and commercially minded leader to manage a well‑established 65‑bed nursing and residential care home in Liverpool.

This purpose‑adapted, single‑storey home is designed to provide high‑quality nursing and residential care across two specialist units. With excellent facilities, spacious communal areas, and a dedicated team, the home is committed to delivering outstanding person‑centred care while providing residents with a safe, welcoming and enriching environment.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance and regulatory compliance of the service. You will drive quality standards, lead and develop your team, maintain strong occupancy levels, and ensure residents receive exceptional care and support.

About You

• Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager within a nursing or residential care setting.
• Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
• Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and occupancy.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Passionate about delivering outstanding care and improving residents’ quality of life.
• Nurse qualification desirable but not essential.
