Job summary

Dorset HealthCare invites applications for a Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant within the Weymouth and Portland District Nursing service. You will visit patients in their own homes, delivering clinical care under supervision and developing extended skills as you progress.

Applicants should have good communication skills, a valid driving license, and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check paid for by the Trust.

Qualifications

• DBS check required; Dorset HealthCare will cover the cost.
• Experience in community clinical work is desirable but training will be offered.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care including wound care and phlebotomy.
• Follow care plans and team leader instructions to deliver evidence-based holistic nursing care.
• Undertake extended skills as trained (insulin administration, catheterisation).
• Work on bank holidays, pro rata, and some weekends as required.
