Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust in Weymouth is seeking Community Staff Nurses to join our busy District Nursing team, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

The role offers strong training links with local universities, rapid upskilling and support with new skills. This is a full-time post with weekends, late shifts until 20:00 and bank holidays. DBS check required; the Trust covers the cost.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level.
• Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
• Practice assessor/supervisor training or equivalent.
• Recent professional development in an up-to-date portfolio.
• Knowledge of Trust Strategy relevant to role.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality person-centred home care within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assess patient needs and develop care programmes.
• Offer advice to patients and carers about care plans.
• Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes.
• Provide supervision and clinical support to students and junior staff.
