Job summary

Crystal Care Collection is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a spotless, welcoming home for residents. You will follow cleaning schedules, ensure all areas remain clean and comfortable, and support the well-being and dignity of residents in a respectful environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability and teamwork, with full training provided. Working hours are 8:00am–5:00pm on a permanent rolling rota, averaging about 31.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Reliable and organised with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all areas of the home to exceptional standards, following cleaning schedules and company procedures.
• Ensure bedrooms, communal areas and facilities remain clean, comfortable and welcoming for residents and visitors.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, Infection Prevention & Control and all relevant legislation and policies.
• Ensure all housekeeping equipment is used safely and report any faults promptly to the Maintenance Operative or General Manager.
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and report shortages to ensure the team has everything needed to maintain high standards.
• Use initiative to identify and address spillages or cleanliness issues immediately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the home, contributing positively to meetings, training and the wider team culture.
• Support in creating a friendly, caring and supportive environment where residents feel valued and comfortable.
