Job summary
Dorchester Search & Selection is seeking a home-based sales manager to cover the South West England and Wales region, engaging with civil and consulting engineers and architects to grow specifications and orders.
You will build product awareness, support technical design discussions, and collaborate with partners to win new business. Travel across the southwest and Wales is required to cover the territory and meet clients and exhibitions.
Qualifications
- CPD experience with architects/engineers is essential.
- Minimum 2 years in construction materials sector with Local authorities, consulting engineers & architects on projects.
- Strong contract pricing, bids and tendering knowledge.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the southwest and Wales.
Responsibilities
- Develop external product and application awareness to contractors, authorities, architects and engineering practices.
- Assist prospects/customers in understanding product specs to support design work.
- Collaborate with partners and specifiers to generate new specifications and convert to orders.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Contribute to growth by securing new business and expanding turnover.
