Job summary

Bidvane seeks a Community Nurse to support housebound patients across Thanet. The role involves assessing, planning and delivering care, including wound care, medications, catheter management and palliative care, within Primary Care Networks.

Open to current Kent and Medway NHS staff, Staff Bank workers, and students/newly qualified nurses. Benefits include development of advanced clinical skills such as IV therapy and safeguarding practice, with flexible working arrangements and a clear career

Qualifications

• NMC registration and current nursing registration.
• Recent healthcare experience through education or work.
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children and capacity assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care for housebound patients with complex, long-term conditions.
• Carry out wound assessments and dressing changes.
• Administer medications and manage catheters.
• Provide palliative and end-of-life care.
• Organise own caseload and work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Support colleagues and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare and multi-agency partners.
