Job summary

BASC is seeking a Regional Officer to support shooting, conservation, and membership engagement across the North. The role is home-based, ideally covering North-West England, with travel across the Northern region and close collaboration with the Regional Director (North).

Essential requirements include a full driving licence, firearms certificate, shotgun certificate, and a DBS check. You will manage projects, events and regional activities while promoting sustainable shooting and BASC’s

Qualifications

  • Full driving licence required.
  • Firearms and shotgun certificates required.
  • DBS check will be required.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver projects and events.
  • Experience with membership engagement.
  • Excellent administrative and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support membership recruitment and retention across the region.
  • Build relationships with BASC clubs, syndicates, trade members and shoots.
  • Organise and deliver a programme of membership events.
  • Support BASC attendance at regional shoots and shows.
  • Manage a network of volunteers to support events.
  • Support conservation projects and promote conservation activities.
  • Work with training and education teams to deliver courses.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including police licensing and Natural England.
  • Respond to enquiries and signpost to BASC contacts.
  • Promote sustainable shooting and game as food source.
