Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Ovation control system. This home-based role covers the UK and Ireland, delivering high-quality service, technical expertise, and customer partnership.

You will work independently and with regional teams to ensure reliable, safe, and innovative solutions at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, training, and on-call support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on servicing or commissioning of distributed control systems (DCS).
• Knowledge of control loop configuration and tuning.
• Ability to interpret technical data and apply it to operations.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues.
• Autonomous work while staying connected to a service team.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-sales service and support for Ovation control systems.
• Perform maintenance, installation, commissioning, upgrades and repairs at customer sites.
• Support hardware and software modification programmes for customers.
• Analyse system data to translate insights into practical recommendations.
• Deliver on-site training on system operation and service best practices.
• Participate in on-call rota to ensure continuity of service.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams on demonstrations and proposals.
• Identify service opportunities and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Travel across the UK & Ireland per business needs.
