CV Technical Limited is hiring a Field Service Engineer for access and security equipment. This home-based South East role involves installation, servicing and maintenance, with travel to customer sites and occasional out-of-hours work.

The ideal candidate has field service or engineering experience, reads electrical and mechanical drawings, and can work independently while ensuring high-quality service. Full-time, permanent position with training and potential overseas travel.

Qualificações

• Time-served apprenticeship in electrical, controls or mechanical engineering.
• Previous field service or engineering experience; candidates without a formal apprenticeship will also be considered.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings; training provided on company requirements.
• Flexible with travel, overnight stays and occasional out-of-hours work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of security equipment.
• Attend customer sites to carry out service visits, fault-finding and maintenance activities.
• Complete electronic service call sheets on a tablet or mobile phone following every visit, ensuring information is recorded.
• Conduct site surveys and produce detailed technical reports.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, with training provided.
• Work independently while communicating with the wider engineering team.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota, including occasional weekend and night work.
• Be flexible with travel and overnight stays as required by the role.
