Job summary

JTL is seeking an Electrical Training Officer to support apprentices across the Southern region from a home-based role, with travel. You will manage a caseload, conduct workplace visits, assess progress and provide feedback to help learners achieve industry standards.

The role requires an experienced electrician with NVQ Level 3 and an ECS Card, plus strong communication and coaching skills. Full-time, 35 hours, 09:00-17:00, with benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Has an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or equivalent.
Possesses an ECS Card (or equivalent).
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Good organisational skills and IT literacy.
Commitment to maintaining professional knowledge.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of apprentices and learners across the region.
Conduct regular workplace visits and progress reviews with learners and employers.
Assess knowledge, skills and behaviours and give constructive feedback.
Guide learners on gateway, end-point assessment and AM2 readiness.
Monitor attendance and progress in off-the-job training and Functional Skills.
Identify at-risk learners and implement timely interventions.
Promote JTL's Steps to Success curriculum and safeguarding practices.
Maintain knowledge of regulations and funding policy; advise employers.
Represent JTL professionally with stakeholders.
