Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Band 6 physiotherapist for a 12-month fixed-term position based in the UCR, Intermediate Care and Community Therapy Team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. You will provide home-based rehabilitation with a personal caseload, focusing on preventing admissions and supporting safe discharges.

Role includes weekend/evening rota with no overnight on-call, and rotation into Urgent Community Response work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in physiotherapy.
• Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio with recent courses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centred physiotherapy to support home rehabilitation.
• Manage own caseload across a wide range of conditions.
• Prevent avoidable hospital admissions and enable safe discharges.
• Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with GPs, consultants, nurses and other professionals.
• Participate in weekend/evening rota with no overnight on-call.
• Rotation into Urgent Community Response work.
