Job summary

Camp Beaumont is seeking an experienced Camp Management Team Member to oversee day-to-day operations during school holidays at Greenfield School, Woking. The role includes safeguarding leadership, staff supervision and strong engagement with parents, schools and children.

You will collaboratively manage camp activities, ensure safety and compliance, and communicate effectively with the Operations Team to keep everything running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare (including Early Years, QTS/PGCE) or currently studying towards a childcare qualification.
• Over 18 years old and available to work during school holidays.
• UK/EU citizen with 2 x right to work IDs.
• Experience leading and supporting a team, including providing feedback and managing staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the on-site Safeguarding Lead, ensuring any relevant incidents are appropriately recorded and reported.
• Managing ongoing staff performance, providing support, guidance and feedback.
• Overseeing day-to-day camp administration and responsibilities to ensure the camp runs smoothly and all operational requirements are met.
• Building positive relationships and strong rapport with parents/carers, schools, staff and children.
• Providing supportive and appropriate feedback to parents/carers regarding their children, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout their time at camp.
• Being a visible and hands-on leader across camp, supporting staff and stepping in where required.
• Handling day-to-day issues, last-minute staffing changes and unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
• Ensuring the camp is properly set up at the start of the day and closed down safely at the end of each day.
• Communicating and reporting into the Operations Team, keeping them updated on any significant issues, incidents, staffing concerns or operational challenges.
