Job summary

Camp Beaumont is seeking a proactive Management Team Member for Caterham-based holiday camps. You will lead day-to-day camp operations, safeguard participants, manage staff performance and build strong relationships with parents, schools and staff to ensure a smooth, safe and enjoyable camp experience.

Ideal candidates are hands-on leaders with excellent communication, energy and a passion for working with children; role is seasonal during school holidays with a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare (including Early Years, QTS/PGCE) or studying towards relevant childcare qualification.
• Over 18 years old and available to work during school holidays.
• UK/EU citizen with 2x right to work IDs.
• Experience leading and supervising a team in a holiday camp or similar setting.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and reporting of safeguarding concerns.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site Safeguarding Lead and report incidents.
• Manage staff performance and provide guidance and feedback.
• Oversee day-to-day camp administration and operations.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers, schools and staff.
• Provide feedback to parents/carers to keep them informed.
• Be a visible, hands-on leader across camp and support staff.
• Handle day-to-day issues and last-minute staffing changes calmly.
• Ensure camp setup at start of day and safe close at end.
