Job summary

Camp Beaumont in Guildford is seeking a Camp Management Team Member to help run our busy holiday camps during school breaks. You will be on-site, leading a friendly team and ensuring everything runs safely and smoothly for children and families.

You will delegate duties, support staff with feedback, liaise with parents and schools, and report to the Operations Team. A Level 3 childcare qualification and safeguarding awareness are essential, plus energy and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or currently studying towards a relevant childcare qualification.
• Over 18 years old and available to work during the school holidays.
• UK/EU citizen with 2 x right to work IDs.
• Experience leading and supporting a team, including providing feedback and managing staff performance.
• Strong safeguarding awareness with the confidence to identify, respond to and appropriately report safeguarding concerns and incidents.
• Experience working in a holiday camp or children’s activity camp with leadership/management responsibilities.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable and training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the on-site Safeguarding Lead, ensuring incidents are recorded and reported.
• Managing ongoing staff performance, providing support, guidance and feedback.
• Overseeing day-to-day camp administration and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Building positive relationships with parents/carers, schools, staff and children.
• Providing feedback to parents/carers to keep them informed and supported.
• Being a visible, hands-on leader across camp and supporting staff.
• Handling day-to-day issues and last-minute staffing changes calmly.
• Ensuring the camp is set up at start of day and closed down safely.
• Reporting into the Operations Team with updates on major issues or staffing concerns.
