Job summary

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL is seeking a dedicated Combined Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Collingham Lady Elizabeth Hastings C.E (V.A) Primary School. The role covers Key Stage 1 or 2, with HLTA duties and teaching assistant responsibilities, supporting high-quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will cover PPA, support inclusion, and collaborate with staff to raise pupil achievement in a busy primary school setting, contributing to a positive learning

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification alongside proven experience as a TA in a primary school setting.
• Ability to cover PPA and release time for teachers across all year groups.
• Strong communication and organisational skills to support pupils and staff.
• Commitment to inclusion and high standards of pupil achievement.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of teaching and learning in Key Stage 1 or 2 as appropriate.
• Cover PPA and short-term absences across year groups.
• Collaborate with class teachers to monitor pupil progress and needs.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment and promote inclusion.
