Job summary

The Charter Schools Educational Trust is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support students with social communication needs in a mainstream secondary setting in London. The HLTA will run small-group and 1:1 numeracy interventions and work closely with the SENCo and teachers.

We are looking for a proactive, organized practitioner who can guide LSAs and help every learner achieve their potential within an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HLTA or similar role supporting students with SEN.
• Ability to deliver targeted numeracy interventions.
• Experience working with KS3 pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-impact numeracy interventions for pupils with EHCPs.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions and model communication strategies.
• Support KS3 pupils working below age expectations.
• Provide in-class support to promote engagement and independence.
• Support and guide LSAs and embed best practice across the school.
• Collaborate with teachers, the SENCo and external professionals.
