Job summary

Educato Recruitment partners with a Rochdale-based Alternative Provision seeking an experienced HLTA to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. The candidate will work closely with teachers, deliver interventions, and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

The role offers a long-term agency contract with a potential permanent move after 12 weeks, a generous daily rate, and dedicated Educato support for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people in education.
• Experience supporting SEND and SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the provision.
• Deliver planned lessons, activities and interventions.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and engagement.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Build strong relationships with pupils.
• Provide cover for lessons when required.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Monitor pupil progress and give feedback to teaching staff.
• Support safeguarding and maintain a safe learning environment.
