Job summary

Talent Recruitment Group in Rochdale is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a school from September. You will support learning, lead interventions and provide cover when required.

You will work with pupils with mixed abilities, including SEN, building positive relationships with staff and families, helping raise attainment and promote safe, inclusive learning across the school.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational setting.
  • Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting individual pupils.
  • Confidence leading activities and supporting lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Calm, patient and encouraging approach.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and booster sessions.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for the next step in your education career? We are currently seeking a confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Rochdale from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting pupils’ learning, leading interventions and making a positive impact within the classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality support, take responsibility for small group sessions and provide cover when required.

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across the school, helping to raise attainment and promote positive learning experiences. You will be confident working with a range of abilities, including pupils with additional needs, and be able to adapt your approach to meet individual learning and emotional needs.

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within an educational setting
  • Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting individual pupils
  • Confidence leading activities and supporting lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
