Secondary HLTA – Specialist SEND School
Location: South Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time | Fixed-Term (Until end of this school year, with potential to extend into the next)

A highly regarded secondary special school in South Manchester is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time role will run through to the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of being extended into the next academic year. The school caters for students aged 11–19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication challenges.

As an HLTA, you'll play a key role in supporting student learning, delivering tailored interventions, and contributing to a positive, inclusive school environment. You’ll need to bring experience from a SEND or specialist setting, a confident and compassionate approach, and ideally HLTA status (or Level 3 TA qualification). A solid understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice is essential.
