Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring PE & Core Subjects Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a teaching degree or equivalent
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with SEND and ASC is ideal but applications from those working in mainstream primary or secondary settings and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge are very welcome
  • Teaching experience delivering the PE National Curriculum (KS3/KS4) and also the ability to deliver Science & Maths at KS3.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching methods.

Who are we?

Mill School Bury is an independent autism specialist school which supports children and young people aged from 7 - 17. The school has been designed to best support children’s mental health and well-being and to provide a state-of-the-art learning environment.

The school is set in its own extensive grounds including areas for Bush Craft and a MUGA. Inside, a combination of rebound, multi-sensory and immersive reality therapy spaces ensure the holistic approach continues.

Mill School Bury is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
