Job summary

Brimington Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will deliver high-quality learning, lead whole-class teaching when required, and provide targeted interventions to help every child reach their potential.

You will work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess learning for individuals and groups, with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
• Significant experience in a primary school
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning for individuals, groups and whole classes
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and delivering effective interventions
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• High expectations of pupils’ achievement, behaviour and wellbeing
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
• Knowledge/experience in RE and/or Physical Education is desirable
• Experience of teaching whole classes
• Evidence of specialization in Curriculum areas or learning difficulties
• GCSE-level numeracy and literacy or equivalent
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learning and lead whole-class teaching when required
• Provide targeted interventions and track pupil progress
• Plan, deliver and assess learning for individuals, groups and whole classes
• Support pupils with SEND and implement effective interventions
• Maintain strong safeguarding, behaviour management and relationships with pupils and families
