Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming school in Redhill. You'll lead small-group activities, support teaching and learning across the classroom, and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

We are looking for someone with HLTA experience or relevant classroom support, capable of delivering planned lessons, adapting approaches to pupil needs, and maintaining positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Previous HLTA or higher-level classroom support experience.
• Recognised HLTA qualification or relevant experience supporting teaching and learning.
• Ability to deliver lessons and lead learning independently.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Calm, adaptable and positive approach.
• Ability to engage, encourage and build confidence in pupils.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning in the classroom.
• Deliver planned lessons and activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• Provide classroom cover when required.
• Lead targeted interventions and help pupils make progress.
• Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.
• Adapt learning to meet a range of needs and abilities.
• Support positive behaviour and create clear, consistent routines.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
