Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in the Davenham area. You will join a team delivering high-quality education and supporting teachers and staff to enhance student learning.

The role is based in Davenham, with ongoing temporary, full-time hours. The successful candidate will work with classroom teachers to deliver lessons, support literacy and numeracy, and provide interventions for small groups and individuals.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3, QTS, or equivalent qualification.
Experience in a primary school setting.
Mandatory Enhanced DBS check.
Knowledge of child development and supporting literacy and numeracy.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide class cover and support teaching activities across the school.
Lead small group interventions and 1-1 support to improve learning outcomes.
Assist with planning and delivering lessons, including phonics and maths support.
Support children with SEN and motivate learners to reach potential.
Liaise with SENCO and external agencies for tailored support.
