Job summary

Oakwood Primary Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Inclusion Mentor to join our friendly team. The role is permanent, full-time, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week (8.00am–4.00pm, Mon–Fri).

You will support pupils with learning needs and inclusion, building confidence and resilience while working with families and staff to ensure every child thrives.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent recognised qualification such as ELSA
• Experience in a role supporting children with behaviour, learning and wellbeing
• Confidence in applying agreed positive behaviour management strategies
• Experience in planning and leading teaching and learning activities
• Genuine passion for inclusion and helping children reach their potential
• Enthusiastic, flexible team player

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils to support learning
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence, resilience and self-regulation
• Work with colleagues and families to foster an inclusive school environment
• Support the delivery of teaching and learning activities as directed by lead staff
• Contribute to raising pupil achievement and aspirations
