Job summary

The Bishop Fraser Trust is seeking an HLTA - Foundational Skills Tutor for BSCA. The role is 37 hours per week, term time plus 2 days, permanent. Salary SCP 17-23 (£31,022 - £34,434) with actual salary £26,177.46 - £29,058.63. The post supports learners aged 11-16 with SEND in a vibrant, modern environment.

You will raise literacy and numeracy through targeted interventions, working with staff to improve handwriting, reading and numeracy progress.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

To raise the standards of literacy and numeracy by providing high-quality intervention and targeted support for students who require additional help with functional skills. The postholder will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to deliver evidence-informed programmes that improve students' handwriting, reading and numeracy, enabling them to access the wider curriculum and achieve their full potential.
