Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within a secure children’s unit in Morpeth. The role involves supporting the delivery of engaging learning, building positive relationships and helping young people develop academically, socially and personally.

The position requires experience as HLTA/TA/LSA or similar, with the ability to work calmly in challenging situations, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries within a structured

Qualifications

• Experience as HLTA/TA/LSA or youth worker or similar.
• Confident supporting young people with challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
• Able to establish positive professional relationships.
• Confident managing difficult situations appropriately.
• Consistent with boundaries and expectations.
• Passionate about helping young people make progress.
• Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Support and deliver lessons and learning activities.
