Job summary

Oakwood Primary Academy in Eastbourne is recruiting a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on Behaviour. The role is permanent and term-time only, working 37.5 hours per week, from 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will support pupils to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, resilience and self-regulation, and work closely with families to create an inclusive environment where every child can succeed.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification essential
• GCSE Maths and English (A-C) essential
• Experience supporting behaviour, learning and wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils and support learning
• Lead teaching and learning activities under supervision
• Implement agreed behaviour management strategies consistently
• Collaborate with families to create an inclusive environment
• Contribute to pupil progress through observations and records
