Job summary

Grange Primary School in Shrewsbury is seeking a skilled HLTA to join our friendly team. You will deliver learning to whole classes, provide 1:1 support, and lead focused interventions to boost pupil progress.

You will work closely with teachers and the SENDCo, promoting inclusion, independence and positive behaviour while tracking progress and contributing to various school activities.

Qualifications

• Holds HLTA status (or equivalent) and has strong primary experience.
• Has experience of leading whole-class learning and delivering interventions.
• Is passionate about supporting all pupils.
• Has excellent communication, organisation and ICT skills.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is proactive, enthusiastic and committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning to whole classes, small groups and individuals, including PPA cover.
• Support teachers with planning, assessment and adapting learning to meet pupil needs.
• Lead targeted interventions and pastoral support, including 1:1 work.
• Work closely with the SENDCo, contributing to EHCPs, provision maps and referrals.
• Promote inclusion, independence and positive behaviour for all pupils.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, supporting high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, enrichment and daily routines.
