Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant for an infant school starting September 2026. You will support in class each morning with phonics groups and cover lessons across EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 using pre-planned materials.

You’ll join a values-driven team that prioritises CPD, strong pupil progress and nurturing relationships with children and families. The role is term-time only, with hours 8:30–15:30.

A welcoming and values-driven infant school is looking for a dedicated, skilled, and nurturing Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

This is a varied and rewarding role, with mornings spent supporting in class, including delivering phonics groups, and afternoons covering lessons across EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 using pre-planned materials.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll also be part of regular team meetings, liaising with parents and professionals, and stepping in to support during teacher absence when needed.

The details
  • Hours: Flexible, based on 8.30 - 15.30 each day
  • Contract: Term time only + 5 INSET days
  • Start: September 2026

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
