Job summary

Winchester College has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Painter & Decorator. The role covers painting and decorating across the College’s varied buildings, from chapels to laboratories, within a 40-hour week and under the direction of the Works Department.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced painter/decorator, able to work unsupervised and in a team, with strong attention to detail and safety compliance across refurbishment and reactive works.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating across diverse building stock.
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as within a team.
• Experience with listed buildings and traditional skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of painting and decorating work on the College’s building stock as part of in-house maintenance team.
• Handle refurbishment, cyclical maintenance, and day-to-day reactive works under supervision of Supervisor/Manager.
• Prepare, finish and maintain internal and external surfaces to a high standard with safety and attention to detail.
