• Proven experience in painting and decorating.
• Recognised industry qualification (NVQ or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, filling and removal of old coverings.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces.
• Install internal and external vinyl coverings.
• Work with Marketing to ensure correct branding, colours and finishes.
• Develop and manage a planned decorating schedule across campuses.
• Carry out planned maintenance tasks and respond to reactive repairs.
• Perform sealing and mastic work in bathrooms, kitchens and other areas.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as exam room setups or furniture moves.
• Comply with COSHH and health & safety regulations.
• Work safely at height with scaffolding or platforms when required.

Painter & Decorator

Location: Rotherham and Worksop (across 3 campus). Hours: Full - Time, 37 hours. Salary: £29,455 per annum. Contract: Permanent.

About the Role:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Estates Group Decorator to support the upkeep and enhancement of college buildings across all campuses. Reporting to the Director of Estates, Facilities, Health & Safety and Security, you will play a key role in maintaining high visual and safety standards across a diverse estate.

This is a cross‑site position requiring regular travel, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and the ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a wider Estates team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, filling and removal of old coverings.
