Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a post within the Histopathology Department. The role involves working with the quality and training team as the service expands advanced dissection and reporting roles, and advances digital pathology reporting.

The post holder will support the quality management system and assist in teaching technical Histology to staff, students and trainees.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in Histology and quality management.
• Willingness to train and develop in technical Histology.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System to achieve UKAS ISO 15189 accreditation.
• Provide training in all aspects of technical Histology to medical staff, other BMS staff, students and trainees.
• Assist/supervise senior BMS staff in supervision of BMS staff and workload.
• Contribute to service development and Lean improvements within the Histopathology department.
