Job summary

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a Biomedical Scientist in Histopathology to join the team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. You will examine pathological samples using diverse technologies and ensure accurate results are reported in a timely manner.

Qualifications

HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
Relevant Biomedical Science qualification.

Responsibilities

Carry out laboratory analyses under the direction of senior Biomedical Scientist staff and ensure results are accurately reported and records are maintained.
Participate in departmental rosters and adapt to operational requirements of the laboratory.
Perform quality control procedures and review results, investigating issues and taking corrective action as needed.
Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, reporting faults to ensure safe functioning of all devices.
Monitor and replenish consumables and organise work activities to maximise efficiency.
Ensure proper use of computerized data management systems and comply with SOPs, safety, confidentiality and data-protection rules.
