Job summary

CTR Select is seeking an organised, proactive Plant Hire & Transport Coordinator to join our client, covering two plant hire sites. This varied role combines customer service, plant and tool hire, sales, transport planning and driver coordination.

The ideal candidate will have experience in plant hire or logistics, excellent customer service and communication skills, strong organisational abilities and good IT and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Process plant, tool and equipment hire orders and sales.
• Coordinate daily driver schedules and deliveries.
• Manage driver performance, holiday schedules and timekeeping.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and MOTs are completed on time.
• Maintain stock and keep the shop/yard clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with deliveries during busy periods.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, customer service and operational performance.
• Monitor and improve KPIs.
• Support promotional events and new product initiatives.

Salary: up to £35,000

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Process plant, tool and equipment hire orders and sales.
• Coordinate daily driver schedules and deliveries.
• Manage driver performance, holiday schedules and timekeeping.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and MOTs are completed on time.
• Maintain stock and keep the shop/yard clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with deliveries during busy periods.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, customer service and operational performance.
• Monitor and improve KPIs.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in plant hire, tool hire, logistics, transport or a similar environment is desirable.
