Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking a Hire Controller based in Erith to join our depot team. You will manage the end-to-end hire process from taking orders to delivery and collection, ensuring customers receive the right equipment on time.

You will work desk-based with multiple departments, develop strong relationships, and support our ESG objectives while delivering excellent service and value to customers across the Speedy network.

Qualifications

• Experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operational role.
• Proven ability to organise and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Based in the depot, coordinating the full hire process from order to delivery and collection, liaising with all depot parts to meet customer needs.
• Desk-based role with regular liaison across departments, stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays and ensure equipment availability.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Erith

Salary £32,324 pro rata, per annum

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.

• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role
