Job summary

Marlborough Highways is seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor for our Tottenham site. You will supervise teams, coordinate labour, and ensure delivery aligns with contract requirements while maintaining safety standards.

You will oversee risk assessments, method statements, and liaise with clients and sub-contractors to achieve timely, cost-effective outcomes on highway maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience ideally within a Highways setting.
• Understanding of Highways term maintenance contracts.
• Confident generating and delivering a variety of MI on a monthly basis.
• Driving Licence is essential.
• Strong background in working with Health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe running of allocated sites and monitor the implementation and control of safe working procedures.
• Prepare and implement risk assessments and method statements.
• Manage/liaise with Sub-Contractors as appropriate.
• Liaise with Client, at the depot or on site.
• Conduct depot and site Inductions.
• Weekly Health & Safety & Environmental Inspections.
• Issue Works Order and Permits.
• Organising and resourcing staff labour, plant and materials, so that the works progress effectively and economically.
• Minimising cost of works through correct programming and utilisation of labour, plant, materials and Sub-Contractors.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the contract plan and procedures, with risk assessments and method statements.
• Checking drawings, site instructions, work orders and contract documents and reporting any anomalies or lack of information.
• Monitor the standard of work of all employees and contractors.
• In conjunction with the Contract Manager or Operations Manager, ensure that the operations are commercially viable.

Description

Here at Marlborough Highways we have an opportunity for an experienced Reactive Supervisor to join our teams supporting the successful delivery of our contract in Camden.

As a Supervisor within the Highways division you will be responsible for supervising and co-ordinating teams of both directly employed and Sub-Contract labour. You will ensure that operational and financial targets and deadlines are met and that the works and services are implemented in accordance with the contract requirements.

• Experience with Confirm and Street Manager systems desirable
• Traffic Management Knowledge , LANTRA Accreditation desirable
