Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor to join a major highways and infrastructure project in Slough. You will supervise day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

This long-term contract offers an immediate start and exposure to high-profile works. Candidates should hold SSSTS or SMSTS and CSCS, with a proven track record on major projects. You will coordinate teams and manage site records throughout the project.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Highways Supervisor on major infrastructure or highways projects.
• Strong understanding of highways construction, utilities, drainage, roadworks and traffic management.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and CSCS Card are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day highways construction activities on site.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, plant and materials.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure health, safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor quality and ensure works meet specifications.
• Maintain site records including diaries, permits, inspections and progress reports.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and client representatives.
• Support delivery of traffic management and public-facing highways works.
