Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Structures Site Agent in Stowmarket, Suffolk, to oversee day-to-day structural works on a National Highways scheme. The role focuses on safety, quality and programme delivery on bearing plate replacement and related infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate subcontractors, site engineers and operations teams, maintain documentation and RAMS, and occasionally plan night/weekend activities.

Qualifications

• SMSTS qualification is essential.
• Experience as Site Agent on highways structures or civil projects.
• Experience with structural repair/bearing replacement works.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of structural works on a National Highways scheme.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site engineers and operations teams to maintain progress.
• Ensure works meet National Highways specs, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
• Manage temporary works activities and liaise with relevant teams.
• Oversee site documentation, RAMS, permits and quality records.
• Liaise with project management, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Plan occasional night and weekend activities as required.
• Monitor progress and address delays to keep the scheme on track.
• Support delivery in railway interface areas where applicable.
