Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a Site Engineer for a highways and major infrastructure project in King's Lynn. You will help deliver safe, quality-driven works to program targets, supporting setting out, surveying and site operations.

The role demands CSCS, a civil engineering qualification, and strong experience with RAMS, QA/ITPs, and NEC contracts where relevant. A full UK driving licence is required, with contracts typically long-term and Outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out experience.
• Experience with QA documentation and ITPs.
• CSCS card essential.
• Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for highways and civil engineering works.
• Managing subcontractors and site operations.
• Completing QA documentation, ITPs and inspection records.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS.
• Supporting drainage, earthworks, pavement and structures packages.
• Maintaining accurate as-built records.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with specifications and programme requirements.
• Promoting excellent health, safety and environmental standards.
