Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Scheme Co-ordinator to support planning and delivery of construction schemes, coordinating roadspace bookings and managing documentation across project teams. You will ensure access is secured, closures are well planned, and schemes progress smoothly.

The role requires highway delivery knowledge, IT literacy with MS Office, and strong stakeholder engagement. A focus on safety and collaboration across teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Understanding of highway construction and delivery methods.
• IT literate with experience using MS Office.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Evidence of identifying and using metrics for analysis and interpretation of information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable: awareness of National Highways roadspace booking systems, Street Manager and Causeway (One Network).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and secure Roadspace bookings and manage Clash Analysis reports.
• Prepare and issue scheme-related documentation to project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure completion and secure storage of all scheme documentation in databases and systems.
• Attend construction planning meetings and ensure health, safety and wellbeing are integrated.
