Job summary

National Highways in England is seeking a Scheme Coordinator to join our South West team, with offices in Bristol or Exeter. You will support delivery, governance, QA, and safety standards to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role involves developing H&S files, coordinating documentation, and assisting with scheme scheduling and meetings. The ideal candidate will understand project management, have strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, able to work independently

Qualifications

• Experience or appreciation of construction and highway activities.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Driven with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Develop Health & Safety files for schemes with timely data collection.
• Prepare scheme completion documentation and circulate to stakeholders.
• Support collection and storage of construction scheme documentation in relevant systems.
• Support scheme scheduling and related delivery activities and meetings.
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing considerations are integrated throughout planning and delivery.
