Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a proactive Project Officer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of highways projects. The role offers hybrid working with 1 day remote and requires travel to depots occasionally, with a valid driving licence.

You will contribute to project planning, monitor milestones, support tender processes and drive performance improvements across the highways service. The role is permanent and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to connect with others to share ideas and information.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with standard software to enhance productivity.
• Experience or understanding of project management approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and monitoring of projects, including producing plans and logs and organising meetings.
• Assist in identifying improvement areas and support implementation of improvement projects.
• Manage highways tenders throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliant communications with contractors and clients.
• Support performance management through data analysis, process mapping and training to drive improvements.
• Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations.
