Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Project Manager to join the Connect Plus Services team for the M25 project, based in South Mimms. You will lead complex highway and technology schemes through their lifecycle, coordinating stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, cost control, and stakeholder engagement, with travel across the network and potential night-site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering multi-scheme highways projects (£100k–£3m+).
• Ability to lead with integrity, manage diverse stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Commercial focus to drive project performance and contract delivery.
• Resilience under competing priorities and setbacks.
• Strong communication and organisational skills to clarify strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans and resources to deliver objectives.
• Lead and oversee projects through feasibility, design, construction and handover.
• Manage sub-contractors and designers ensuring health, safety and cost discipline.
• Report on performance, risks and changes; maintain records and change control.
• Support sustainability initiatives including net zero and biodiversity goals.
• Travel to other offices/depots; occasional night shifts for site visits.
