Job summary

NY Highways in North Yorkshire is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate highways maintenance programmes across the region, working with operations teams, supervisors and stakeholders to plan resources and deliver safe, on-time services.

You will manage changing priorities, liaise with managers, ensure compliance with Health & Safety, and support traffic management and street works regulations. Occasional county-wide travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways maintenance or scheduling environments.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental principles.
• Understanding of good customer service.
• Systematic and timely decision making and change management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, Project, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate highways maintenance activities and programmes.
• Manage changing priorities and workloads.
• Liaise with supervisors, managers and external stakeholders.
• Ensure works are planned in line with Health & Safety requirements.
• Support compliance with Traffic Management Act and Street Works legislation.
• Monitor programme delivery and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Occasional county-wide travel if required.
