Your Role

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will be an essential part of our Somerset team, ensuring our highways are safe and well-maintained for everyone. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Responding to defects and emergencies on the highway, providing updates via tablet devices.
• Installing traffic management signage as needed.
• Carrying out minor improvement works and routine maintenance to enhance the road network.
• Operating various plant and equipment safely and effectively.
• Using tablet devices to accurately record works and maintain clear communication with the team and clients.
• Supporting winter maintenance activities and severe weather operations when required.
