Job summary

FM Conway are recruiting an Highways Maintenance Operative Apprentice to join our Transport for London Division, working across a variety of projects in Central and South London. This full-time role is based from our Beddington Lane depot, offering an on-the-job training path toward a Level 2 Highways Maintenance Operative qualification.

You will learn on-site alongside experienced teams, gaining hands-on experience in highways maintenance while earning a wage and building a long-term

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.
• Genuine interest in construction and highways.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Keen to learn and develop a career in construction.

Responsibilities

• Complete Level 2 Highways Maintenance Operative qualification while working on site.
• Complete apprenticeship and End Point Assessment.
• Deliver highways maintenance works safely and to a high standard as part of the site team.
• Maintain, store and report on tools and equipment; report defects.
• Report incidents or concerns to the line manager or site management.
• Follow site instructions and collaborate with the wider team.
