Amey Ltd is offering a Highways Maintenance Apprenticeship based in the Area 7 account. Starting salary is £29,904 per year, with a 45-hour week across rotating day and night shifts.

The program runs for about 21 months and includes enrollment on a Level 2 Lead Traffic Management Operative apprenticeship, with supported study and mentoring from Amey and a partnered college. You will join a team maintaining UK highways, performing routine maintenance, minor civil and drainage works, vehicle

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and build confidence
• Able to work in a supportive team
• Willing to complete functional skills if under 19
• Hold a valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine highway maintenance tasks
• Undertake minor civil works and drainage tasks
• Record hours, materials and defects accurately
• Follow safety practices and guidelines at all times
