Job summary

Amey in Manchester is offering a Health and Safety Apprentice role within the Traffic Management unit. You will join a 27-month Level 3 apprenticeship, supported by college and Amey teams, with one-to-one guidance and learning resources.

The role develops skills in HSEQ across multiple contracts, including inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and data reporting. Starting salary is £24,920.81 per year, with full training and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and build confidence in a supportive team.
• If under 19, complete Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Support HSEQ activities across Amey Traffic Management contracts.
• Assist with site inspections, audits and assurance activities.
• Monitor compliance with Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments.
• Assist investigations into incidents and near misses.
• Report and analyse HSEQ performance data and trends.
• Promote the Amey Zero Code and safety culture.
