Job summary

Amey is offering a Highways Maintenance Apprentice in Area 7, based at Pytchley or Rothersthorpe depots. You'll join a Lead Traffic Management Operative Level 2 apprenticeship over about 21 months with college support and mentoring.

Starting salary £29,904 per year with reviews; working Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. Applicants must be 18+, hold a UK driving licence and may undergo drug testing.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older for eligibility due to the account.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• If under 19 with no Maths and/or English, functional skills may be required.
• Random drug and alcohol testing may apply.
• Evidence of certificates/qualifications to upload with the application.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and cyclic maintenance activities.
• Undertake minor civil works and drainage works.
• Maintain high technical standards and attend project briefings.
• Drive and operate vehicles and plant.
• Record hours and resources accurately.
• Support safety of self and team, comply with health and safety laws.
• Communicate with Amey staff, subcontractors, emergency services and customers.
