Job summary
RecXchange is seeking an experienced Estimator to price and tender highways and infrastructure projects across Yorkshire and the North West. You will review drawings, assess risk, and build competitive bids for major schemes.
Collaborating with operations and commercial teams, you will support value-engineering and ensure tenders meet governance standards. Hybrid working arrangements and a base salary up to £47,000 accompany a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating within highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure.
- Experience with estimating or tendering.
- Commercial awareness and risk assessment ability.
- Ability to interpret technical and contractual information.
- Experience with NEC contracts or highways frameworks is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and competitive estimates.
- Review drawings, specs and tender information.
- Assess commercial, contractual, operational and technical risk.
- Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Build tender submissions around customer requirements.
- Support value-engineering and alternative solutions.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams.
- Contribute to tender reviews and bid strategy.
- Ensure tenders meet governance and commercial requirements.
